I cannot import my bank files (OFX)

In Mobills, there are several functions that make you enter your transactions much faster, one of them is the import of OFX files.

Oops! An error message was displayed when trying to import an OFX file? You can relax, we will help you with some explanations and important points that may be affecting the reading of your file! 😉

An important point is that some OFX files contain a different format from the standard, without the negative sign - (minus) in the content of the expenses and, for this reason, Mobills cannot recognize the content of the file.

But how to solve this? It's very simple, just insert the negative sign manually! 😱

Ah, insert the "minus" sign without spacings, okay?

After inserting the minus sign in the expenses, just save the file and try the import again.

  Important!

• If you are trying to import a converted file, that is, it was not originally a bank OFX, but converted it to this format, it is very likely that Mobills will not read or will read incompletely, as Mobills is programming to recognize only formats originating from banks.

• (Mobile devices) When tapping "Import" to choose the OFX file, Mobills may not directly open the location where your OFX is located, so it will be necessary to search for it within the navigation options of the device.

Attention! 

• Mobills can import only up to 6 months before the date you are trying to import OFX. If it goes beyond this period, unfortunately the file will not be imported.

• It is not possible to import OFX files where the statement is a mixture of your bank and credit card transactions in the same file at the same time. It is only possible to import OFX separately for debit (bank transaction) or only for the credit card statement.

Simple, right! Now that your OFX file is well formatted, you can use it without fear to import your transactions into Mobills. 😉
